This world that the Sanger Rescue Squad found was confounding to some of them. They'd gotten used to the fact that sometimes they were female, sometimes furry, others robotic or at times spiritual. One of the things they knew about the multiverse was that there were often worlds that didn't contain 'them', but instead had a different person holding their place. Sekali was perhaps more akin to the furry woman named Raanatani, one who Engel knew from Alskyr and before that on the Old World of Pern. She, who had been human, but turned furry the moment the Protectorate landed on Alskyr, was a tiger. Most Sangers that are furry, are cheetahs: slender, sleek, fast. Tigers are large, strong, fierce.

Sekali is also a tiger... But she is a Sanger. That much is known, mostly because she works directly with Jagdish - this world's female Engle, who is a a pale grey colored mongoose morph. Now, all that is complicated by the magic. Where many other worlds Sangers are scientists, Sekali is a mage, and does the most amazing things with fire. She can construct living entities to do her bidding, made of cool flames; she can obliterate an area with a single flash of heat.

Jagdish employed her early on, she is one of many such mages - each dealing with a different element. Jagdish feels safe near her precious tiger, and Sekali does much more than merely guard her body. Jagdish is also a very powerful mage, a mind-mage as per Engel's norm.

When the other Sangers found this universe, some of them were tempted to remain. If there was a nemesis here, he was either long gone, or hadn't the courage to stand up to Sekali. (Or was it she? Since their genders seemed flipped?) The pair of males to complete their foursome, Chanda the sleek aby-cat artist, and Ranjit the mottled wolf and metal mage. Those two enjoy the company of their lovely ladies, though obviously they cannot have shared offspring like many other universes' groups.

Sekali would love to slink around the multiverse, and would love even more to find out where these other 'bad guys' are - she's not one to wait for them to come to her, after all. Jagdish needs only to point in the right direction, and Sekali is off on a hunt. Their world is surprisingly violent, but with the presence of healers and magic protection spells, not every encounter is fatal.

One of the few major differences between Sekali and her doppleSangers, is that she loves to swim, and water doesn't bother her nearly as much as a fire mage ought to be bothered. When you can just vaporize it with the snap of your fingers, you get confident about it.

He was little, probably the smallest of his clutch. But this lovely crystal white and winter-pale dragon was as feisty as they came. He would not take no for an answer, he would never give up - he fought his way out of his shell and onto the sands for one thing. He snapped and growled and snarled and faceplanted his way toward Sekali who cheered him on eagerly.

You are as warm as the sands, he thought to her.

"I'm much hotter than the sands, Rowhatteth," Sekali chuckled. She took the little male to his first meal, his next, and the next... every day for many more - time flew, and eventually, so would Rowhatteth.

Perhaps the one thing that Sekali had in common with her Sanger comrades... she was afraid of heights. She nearly fell when they went up together for the first time. But then, many riders nearly fall when they first fly! Soon enough though, she learned that by putting a warm magical updraft below her dragon's wings, he could maintain stability much longer.

"Some would call that cheating," Jagdish said, with a grin on her muzzle. "And I'd swear you're trying to collect white things, like me," she smiled up at the dragon, whose coloration was remarkably similar to hers.

Cheating or not, Rowhatteth and Sekali enjoyed their time flying overhead, and between Alabasters. One world's tower was a bit like another's, Sekali recognized that they could move between these worlds with more ease than some - she didn't get lost like the little cheetah-morphs. Given how small he was, though, Rowhatteth could not really bring more than his rider anywhere. It wasn't that he wasn't strong enough to lift more weight - he was quite sturdy in fact. But they would have to cling on to his tail, or be clutched between his arms, because Sekali wasn't exactly small herself...
