Because there could never, ever be enough cats with wings in the world - or indeed, creatures around me with them, or cats around me, or... whatever!

KITTEHS! Winged kitties at that. They would be right at home, roosting in the attic - I wouldn't go in there myself, so I left it to the flits and creatures to keep it clean for me. As long as they did their business outside, and the ceiling didn't somehow cave in with the weight of cat poo, I was okay with it. They were surprisingly quiet, except for that rumbling thump noise that meant they were chasing each other around to get the kinks out of their legs and spines... And then whoosh, out of the little attic window they went.

They would be joined by the flamingos and spare flitters that liked to flock, but the first couple days were a bit iffy.

Some of the kittiebirds were feral, others it really looked as though they should have pedigrees to go along with them. The darker brown tabby boy had gotten into a pretty bad fight with one of the local raven families, and I had to wonder how badly hurt he was. (that was how he got his name, too, he was quite injured and pulled through, a Trooper.) So at one point I managed to lure them into a vet's office where they proclaimed some interesting differences between the groups. But then, I got their genetics analysed and had them microchipped. All was well.
