Healing Den Infirmary - Dragon and Rider Healing!
Near the vast chambers where the dragons of the Den reside, is a complex of rooms and suites where all the medical technology at the disposal of the healers is situated. With direct halls and corridors connecting this complex to the Hatching Dune chamber, the main halls, and the Dragon Dens, it is a mini-nexus.
Offices line the area near the Main halls, while big chambers fit for dragons are found beyond. The tall ceilings and straight walls are well lit. Most of the doors have a single glass window in them, though some have solid wood or metal for privacy or safety's sake.
There is a full x-ray, ct-scan, and mri area. Unfortunately there are still no machines big enough to handle a full sized dragon. Some of the equipment can handle the smallest of the Healing Den dragons (which there are many) and certainly all the smaller and less-than-man-sized animals or companions can be placed in many devices.
Most offices have a nice desk, filing cabinets or some other storage unit, and several chairs. Several of them have another room for exams, attached to them. Gurneys, supplies and such are found in storage rooms. Each medic or healer has their own office, and each is slightly different for that reason.
Each of the Healers in the Den have their own specialty as well. When someone has a broken limb, you don't want to send them to the ear-nose-throat specialist! With the new materials and equipment available, even Kalkin's extensive genetic lab is up to date, so there is rarely a worry about not having the right supply.
A newcomer has been seen in the halls, racing back and forth between offices. Beaker, as he's known, is a Gallimimus Ahntiglasian, a dinosauroid dragon. Quite small, human sized actually standing around five and a half feet tall, Beaker helps with lab work and enjoys the treat of being given duties that even other human students often don't. (Gift dragon from the Ring of Fire.)
