Who would have ever thought that a place floating in the static of spacetime's null zone, between Heaven and Hell, before the beginning and after The End, would have such a big Holiday celebration? Well everyone at the Den was in good spirits, even after all the presents had been gone through - flitters were darting down to grab their owners' gifts, while a couple of the new dragons did their best to make sure those who didn't get near got their packages anyway.

Everything from sweaters to bikinis, cookware to camping gear, music disks to a piano (seriously, how could they have packed it so well? and at least there were big strong dragons around to help move it!)... Everyone got something fun, useful, or that they'd wanted for a while.

"I was tempted to buy you a box of condoms," Baeris snorted, talking to Kalkin when he managed to walk out to the snow-filled room wearing nothing more than the robe he'd swiped from her wardrobe. She looked down, looked back up, and giggled again, "but I changed my mind."

"Well that's good, because it'd be a terrible shame all that perfectly good genetic material going to waste. Speaking of which." The fervor had died down, people were wandering around showing off their new clothes, hats, someone rode a bike down one of the long ramps and narrowly missed sliding into the tree. A couple of the newcomer dragons refreshed the snow on the ground and the tree too.

Right about then, Kalkin picked Baeris up, lept into the nearest snow drift, and pronounced it a Happy Holiday after all!
