History: Traders always were on the move, and Lemburg's family was no exception. They had numerous routes that they could take across this wide and rugged land, rarely choosing the same trail twice in a row in order to avoid any entanglements with bandits.

Their routes took them from Hall to Hold, and even below a number of well-patrolled Weyrs. Thus it was while they were rolling along under Sedona's watch that Lemburg was Searched. He was 17 then, and was eager to learn all he could about dragons, weyrs, and protecting their way of life.

Having stood twice before, Lemburg realized that the hatching would be quick with this small number of eggs. They'd had the chance to walk among the large orbs, and for whatever reason, this time, Lemburg felt more confident than the first two times he'd done so. Even then, his hopes began to fade as the number of hatchlings - and their new found bonds - began to leave the sands.

It wasn't until the very last egg had hatched to reveal a deep blue, that he knew he'd been right about it. Inside his mind, inside his very heart, he felt a voice. It was both new and familiar, begging him for food and love. "Ildetorth," he said, "I know you're hungry, let's go. We'll find everything you want - but you can't eat too fast!"

Ildetorth had learned quickly how to get himself into the air, and even more quickly that landing wasn't all that easy - or fun! He wanted to stay in the air! His endurance would never quite match the bigger browns or bronzes, but as far as the smaller dragons his size went, it looked as though Ildetorth was quite strong. From the air, they could see the trade routes that L'burg's family would take, and patrolled them happily.
