Grey Sanger

What an interesting conflict of interests this boy is. Though his mind is keenly scientific and technical, enjoying construction and design of devices and machinery, he is also a strongly dragon-oriented boy. He has a more practical take on the use of machines in order to facilitate travel, and is very interested in other forms of motion than just cars, planes or even dragons: he likes the teleporters and portals that both sides of his family work with. Dragons can teleport, he loves that. He also doesn't suffer from the strong motion sickness that his father does, so him in a car, flying on a dragon's back, or skydiving = a thing of beauty. Because he is still a Sanger, however, Grey is often a little flaky in terms of self-assurance or identity. He's actually very needy, very social, and enjoys being around people - dragons, humans, Vorts, whoever - as much as he does his time in the lab or garage. Grey truly does get a lot out of instructions, but never has had to hear them more than once in order to fully comprehend. Unlike his father, however, he doesn't have any issues with being ordered around - if he agrees with what the order is, he'll do it. If not, Grey has no qualms about saying no. Also because he is a Sanger, he has never said no to a good romp in the furs (so say his elfin friends) with whoever comes along. His sexuality is a definitive yes. Oddly though, he did inherit his mother's eye color rather than that highly distinct Sanger Blue. His eyes are a steely gunmetal blue, but otherwise his features are strongly echoed in every other member of the genrehopping Sanger clan. He is one of the few people who can actually make Lane nervous. He's been in Lane's private Vortal locations, and been able to manipulate the machinery there. That is something that no one who hasn't been strictly instructed, can do. Perhaps it's because he's still related, the devices respond to his mind just as easily as they might to Lane's, but either way, Lane does make the attempt to remain wholly on Grey's 'good side'. |
