What an odd pairing: Sapphire the shy urban explorer, and H'lis Blackstone the dragonriding charmer? It could be said that they were all but opposites, however they did definitely spark attraction - and they looked great together by any estimation. H'lis's grey eyes and colorblindness is echoed in Hana, while Helena's sapphire blue ones see in color. (Helena can actually confirm that Hana, and probably H'lis and Skie and others in that line, do see in color, they just see a remarkable 'shades of grey' spectrum that is at least as subtle as the color spectrum.) The girls are much more outgoing than their mother, understanding that she likes her privacy and 'away time' as much as H'lis needs his 'group activities'.

It is that aspect that they together exploit, when they can control groups of people with their power. While H'lis's abilities are primarily sensory and input-based, theirs definitely affect other people or things around them. Helena's visual invisibility for instance, is an extreme form of camouflage. Hana's mental version affects people's ability to see her, editing her out of their mental impression of an area. This even works against Vortigaunts, which impresses some of them - and worries others.

Though the girls have distinct personalities and desires, they are very clearly twins in most regards. They both enjoy dressing up and fashion, socializing is at the top of their teenage charts. They throw really good parties. Sometimes, they throw those parties at the top of abandoned buildings, or deep in forgotten catacombs - but equally in the plaza's central square or at someone's house. Between them they have a strong idea of 'what goes where', mental mapping has never been an issue, and they utilize those ideas in a directed manner where as their mother tends to only view the places 'as they were' rather than 'as they could be'.

In most ways, Hana and Helena are extraordinarily typical teenage girls. Among the group of 'offspring' they have hardly ever had issues fitting in, in any setting. They learn quickly, and play to their strengths rather than to others' weaknesses. That's not to say they don't acknowledge those weak points - Hana's spying and gossip has brought juicy tidbits that they've let loose at exactly the right moment. Sometimes that can make or break friendships, prom dates, or the outcome of a big sports game.

Though they don't look it, both sisters are healthy and dynamic physically. They're nowhere near as durable as some of their cousins, of course, but they can get into sports or activities easily just like more emotional or mental pursuits. They are both extremely smart, but they know their smarts come with limits. They'd rather concentrate on what they're best at, slide their sad attempts at math under the rug, and work on social events.
