Welcome to my National Novel Writing Month page!

Well, here's the scoop:

My novel is called "The World of Zekira: Stock in Trade". It is meant to illustrate the culture of an imaginary people, for which I'm also writing a role playing game. For more information about the World of Zekira, just click the link and enjoy! That site is of course, not finished either because I just suck at finishing things.

So why am I doing the Novel Writing Month?? Because I haven't touched a long, wordy work in years. I have several finished works, and dozens of smaller (and larger) unfinished pieces. My goal largely is to keep up a solid storyline for at least 50 thousand words. It ought not to be a problem, I must just DO it!!

About me: I'm 35, female, Lethe Katherine Gray IS my real name. I run a comic store in San Diego CA, I've worked there for 11 years and I still love comics and games. I am a role-player, online addict, artist of many cyberpets, and have a collection of tattoos (on me). I love listening to techno, electronica and Hindi traditional and underground electronic music. I play the Sims because I love setting tiny little people on their courses and act like god.

As far as the Novel goes, fifty thousand words for me is um... a short story. I will be doing at least 10 more of these "chapters" about Zekira, since this first one covers the first 1,000 years of history on their planet and is a chronicle of a single family line. They will survive into "modern" times, I am sure of it, so I intend to keep this up. Probably not at this pace, but just to have done it.

Any updates for the novel will be found HERE.

Now it's 2004 and I'm signed up again - 2 years older and still pretty much in the same spot as above. I've moved into my mom's house and am having to live with her and her aldzheimers while I do this... So wish me luck!
